The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Louisville invites applications for a tenure track or tenured faculty position (open rank). Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology consists of 19 faculty with primary appointments and over 50 faculty members with secondary or emeritus appointments. Department extramural funding in 2021 was nearly $14M and as documented by the Blue Ridge Institute, the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology NIH funding ($9M) ranked within the top 25 Departments of Pharmacology in medical schools across the nation.
The pharmacology and toxicology graduate program has awarded over 350 MS and PhD degrees since it was established in 1954. Many of our graduate students have been recipients of top presentation and travel awards and NIH-funded predoctoral fellowships. Our graduates are engaged in prestigious positions in academia, government, and industry.
