The Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics of McGill University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate should have a demonstrated track-record of research excellence and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate, graduate, and medical students.

We are particularly interested in creative candidates with established research interests in the fields of toxicology and pharmacology in any disease context. Applicants with track records and future interests in safety pharmacology, molecular and/or environmental toxicology, or systems biology approaches are particularly encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will become a member of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. The Department is a research-intensive unit committed to excellence in training of undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Members of the Department are leaders in molecular pharmacology and toxicology, drug design and development, and drug-environment interactions. Job Duties

The successful applicant will be expected to: establish and grow an externally-funded innovative research program that complements and integrates with existing strengths within the Department; train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; contribute to undergraduate, graduate, and medical teaching. McGill faculty members are also expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community. A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is also expected.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent qualification) with a strong background in toxicology/pharmacology/drug development and should have postdoctoral research training. A history and spirit of collaboration is an asset.
