THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL is searching for an individual to provide scholarly, academic and administrative leadership for the research and educational programs of the Department of Pharmacology. The department, ranked fourth in the nation in NIH funding, has an exceptional group of faculty who collectively focus on using multi-dimensional datasets from proteomics, genomics, small molecule screens and imaging to facilitate the discovery of molecular and cellular underpinnings of human disease and novel disease therapies. The department has state-ofthe-art facilities and benefits from strong collaborative relationships with other departments, research centers, and institutes within the University. In particular, partnerships with UNC’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy provide unique resources with world-class faculty in areas of innovative drug discovery, development and delivery. Other academic and industrial institutions in the Research Triangle enhance the scientific environment. Qualifications include a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, a distinguished record of creative scientific productivity, and a demonstrated commitment to graduate and medical education.
